A Medicaid Member Advisory Council (MMAC) is a group made up of Medicaid members, caregivers, community representatives, and organizational staff who work together to improve the quality of services and the overall member experience. The council provides a structured way for Medicaid members to share feedback, raise concerns, identify service gaps, and recommend solutions.
The purpose of the council is to ensure that Medicaid programs remain member-centered, accessible, culturally appropriate, and responsive to the needs of the individuals they serve. The council serves as a communication bridge between members and the organization or managed care plan.
