Through workshops, peer support, and collaborative partnerships, we help individuals and families navigate American life and create a brighter future.
Key Functions of a Medicaid Member Advisory Council
- Member Voice & Feedback: Offers Medicaid members a platform to provide input on services, benefits, and care experiences.
- Quality Improvement: Reviews trends, concerns, and satisfaction data; recommends improvements to care coordination, communication, and service delivery.
- Program Evaluation: Provides insight into how well programs meet member needs and suggests ways to enhance access to care.
- Policy & Material Review: Evaluates member materials for clarity, cultural sensitivity, and ease of understanding.
- Community Engagement: Supports outreach efforts and ensures that the organization remains connected to community needs.
The council may include:
• Medicaid members from diverse backgrounds
• Family caregivers or member representatives
• Community advocates or partner agencies
• Organizational leadership or quality improvement staff (non-voting or advisory)
• Meetings are typically held quarterly or bi-monthly.
• Members participate voluntarily.
• Decisions and recommendations are recorded and shared with leadership.
• The council helps shape improvements to services, communication, access, and member satisfaction.
